Happy

I am feeling very happy and grateful for the life that I have today! I am very lucky person! I love all the wonderful people in my life, and I appreciate all they do everyday! THANK YOU!

So, we had a fun weekend...

For me, It started with a girls dinner in PC with Mara and Lindsay. Lindsay is leaving us for a bit so, we wanted to get together before she left! We had appetizers and drinks at a cute restaurant at the bottom of main street, walked up main street shopping along the way, had dinner at a yummy Italian place at the top of main street, and then went for ice cream of course! It was a fun night, Linds was hilarious, we laughed a lot and I know me and Mara will miss her while she is gone.

Bloopers... I wasn't supposed to post these...So, hopefully they don't see this but, I think they are funny! :)

Then Friday night we went to the Blaze game and our CUTE friend Kristen got engaged! We couldn't be happier for her, Aaron is great! We love when our fun single friends become fun married friends! :)

She said Yes!

The group... (well, some of them. Mike is taking the pic)

and then Saturday we did our favorite hike! It was SO nice to get outside and be together!

and now we have a FUN week planned too...
lots of dinners with Friends and fun stuff planned!
Yay, Life is great!

Try this!

Okay, I am sorry for an other recipe post....

BUT-I made this Lemonade Cake for Father's Day and it was INCREDIBLE!
(My Dad's favorite cake flavor is Lemon)
The recipe was AWESOME and everyone LOVED it!
If you like lemon "stuff" you need to try it! :)

(Lemonade cake, with Lemonade glaze, and Lemonade cream cheese frosting... decorated in Lemon Heads and actual Lemons)

Here is the Recipe...

PS- I LOVE my dad, he is GREAT dad..I hope he enjoyed his cake and Father's Day!
We missed our other dad in Chicago but, we sent him a card and wished him a Happy Father's Day on the phone.
I can't wait until my husband becomes a Dad, I know he will be the best dad ever! If you take into account how much he loves and takes care of me and Mr. B already I can't even imagine him with a little one.
I am looking forward to that for sure!

Weekend Getaway

We had such a wonderful weekend in Park City last weekend...
I  had SO much fun with my handsome husband!
We...hot tubed morning and night (our hotel had a hot tub on the balcony), ATE a lot (mostly pizza and pastries), shopped, explored PC, and went to the Park Silly Market on Main Street.
I couldn't of asked for a better weekend Getaway!
Thanks, Lovie!

NOT my favorite picture, it was early (hence the NO makeup and the fact that my eyes are barely open, I was sleepy still)... But, it was nice to roll out of bed and jump in a hot tub! :) Plus, this is the only pic we got of our hot tubing adventures. It's kinda dangerous to take an iphone pic of the both of us in the hot tub...

Cafe on Main Street- I love eating on patios!

I LOVE him... he is my favorite forever!

Wannabe Cook

So...I rarely cook, sometimes I bake, sometimes...
but, Mike does the cooking at our house because he is a great cook!

Thanks to Pinterest (Please tell me you know about this... if not ask, you should... it's SO fun), I have actually kinda wanted to cook lately! This weekend I tried two recipes and thought I'd share...
You should try them too! :)

Bruschetta Chicken Bake
I actually made this one TWICE this weekend. Once on Friday for Mike and again on Sunday for my family! It was a hit! Funny Story... my cute brother Chase came down stairs to eat dinner on Sunday and started picking at the casserole (he is a picky eater and I was wondering if he'd even eat it)...mostly at the tomatoes.. and then finally says, "Ewe, what is this broccoli?" "Why did u put broccoli in this"... Ha, He is color blind and couldn't tell what the tomatoes were... Ha, we laughed! Here is the link to the recipe! Enjoy!

Chewy Coconut Lime Sugar Cookies
If you know me... you know I LOVE sugar cookies and these just sounded too good not to try! I loved them... but, if I was gonna make them again I would add more coconut than the RECIPE calls for. (click link if you want to try them too). ENJOY!

Maybe, I will actually start cooking more now... Who knows, only time will tell! :)

Rabbit Round Two

Meet Rabbit #2- "JJ" or "Jazz"- Depending on who you ask....

Trevor named him JJ aka Jessie Junior... after Rabbit #1 that went to Rabbit Heaven but, Chase seems to think his name is Jazz...

He is the CUTEST rabbit in the whole world!

He is SO nice and fluffy and I DIE over his floppy ears!

WE ALL LOVE HIM!

Mother's Day

Nothing says Mother's Day like a GIANT cupcake! :)
White Cake, Whipped Cream filling w/ Strawberries and Strawberry Frosting. Yum!
On Sunday my family came up to our new place and we had dinner and dessert and celebrated our mom!
My mom is the type of Mom that hates Mother's day, it's sad... I wish she could enjoy it more. I don't fully understand why she doesn't like but, I think it has to do with felling guilty??! I wish she didn't, she is a fantastic Mother! She has had to deal with a LOT of challenges in Motherhood and I think she has handled them to the BEST of her ability and should feel happy on Mother's day. I did my best to make her usual Mother's Day frown into a smile...I think we kind of succeeded...maybe?

My dad, bought her a nice gift
Mike, made dinner and I made dessert. We also gave her a card and gift.
Chase, Cleaned his room (big deal) and gave my mom a card.
Trevor, gave her a card that said "I hope everyone pees in the right place today" "Happy Mother's Day" Totally fitting...perfect! In the card he wrote something like... "Mom, I love you. You are the one I choose to help me with my sorrows. Thanks for letting me build the Man Cave (more on that later)" So sweet!

This year I had an other Mother, my Mother in Law to celebrate... but, sadly she is far away! :( We mailed her a nice card and talked to her on the phone though (wish we could of done more)! We also, got to talk to STEVE (Mike's missionary brother)! It was great... they conferenced us in on the call and it was really fun to hear from him!

I love both my MOM's and look up to both of them in SO many ways, different ways but, SO many ways!
It is SO wonderful to have multiple women as examples in my life...I have SO much to learn from them! I love and appreciate them more than they know!

I know motherhood isn't always easy but, I am SO looking forward to the day when I can be a mother too! Like, I Can't Wait!....

To all of you mothers out there, I hope you enjoyed your special day and ate cupcakes too! :)

Love you!
