Engageiversary Date

So we did the PERFECT  thing to celebrate our Engagement Anniversary!
We went to the Brian McKnight concert...

Let me tell you why it was perfect:
1- I am a huge fan- I am a sucker for old school R&B (I have been teased by a lot of people saying that my ipod look like it would belong to black guy, I am by no means mad at that!)
2- Mike is a huge fan- he relates to him since he plays the paino/writes music/and sings (even though Mike claims he isn't a singer...I say he is)
3- We bonded over our love for B McKnight when we first met... That's true love right there, ha!
4- You know how every couple has a "song" while they are dating...well, our happens to be by B McKnight. Cheesy but, true! We have added one more since we have been married...
5- We tried to track him down and see him while we were on our honeymoon but, we just missed his concert by just a few days...sad!

Well, he did not disappoint... I have been looking forward to this for months and LOVED it! I have always loved his music but, I didn't know how funny he would be...He was so entertaining. I laughed the whole night! He was truly "working it" up there! It was just him, his piano, his guiars, and keyboard. No band, no back up signers, no backing track... nothing... just him! His voice was incredible live dare I say better live. I mean who now days writes all their own songs, plays them, and sings them...very few. He is a talented guy!

It was so fun being there with Mike, I love being married to a musical guy! :) I was worried he wouldn't play our song (dating song)... and we would be disappointed but, he played it SECOND! I didn't even have it wait (I'm not sogood at that)...It was awesome! I took live video but, I am not really sure how to get that on the lyrics (to our song) will have to do (google it, the music is so pretty)!
"Only One For Me"
You say you've seen too many things,
that turn out to be too good to be true.
Against your better judgment, opened up your heart,
'til you found the joke was on you.
looking out on the rest of our lives,
If we're gonna be together or apart.
About the only way I know how to come,
is right straight from my heart.
I want you now,
I'll show you how
I can be the man you need me to be
I've been around,
but now I've found
that you're the only one for me.
Say you'll never fall again
You won't subject yourself to such pain
If you give me half a chance I will
Never leave you standing out in the rain
But if you think that I could look you in your face and lie right
through my teeth
then turn around and walk away
Cross my hear, girl I care for you and when I look into eyes I must say...
I need you now
I'll show you how
I can be the man you need me to be
I've been around
But now I've found
that you're the only one for me
I need you so
I can't let go
Gonna be all that I can be
I want you still
I always will
Cause you're the only one for me

Luckily, I had a long plane ride home the next day to STARE at my ring... I was obsessed! :)

Happy Engageiversay LOVE!

Jesus Loves Us

Life has been crazy lately... Wowza!

But, here is a funny story for your Monday...Yesterday Mike and I were teaching our Primary Class, and our lesson was on how Jesus loves all of us. At one part of the lesson we were going around the circle and asking each of them how they know that Jesus loves them? We were getting answers like, Because he gave me toys, Because he gave me my family...typical 6 year old answers! Well, then we got to one of the girls, and we ask her, "J*****, how do you know that Jesus Loves You?" and she says, "I don't believe in him, I think Jesus is a Tall Tale!"

Are u kidding me, WHAT DO YOU SAY TO THAT... Hahaha... What? She is 6!

Our Primary Class is CRAZY!!!! That is ONE of MANY crazy stories we have from our 3 weeks of being primary teachers...We are SO in for it!!!

On My Mind...

15 thing that have been taking over my mind lately
I felt like I just needed to let them out, HA!
(in no particular order)

1- Should I cut my hair? Should I cut my straight bangs again? (Grr, I always want new hair but, NEVER can get myself to change it!) Any ideas for me?

2- Wondering what should we do for a our 1 year anniversary...I wanna do something FUN! Craziness, Can't believe it's almost here...Time Flies!

3- I am worried about (blank).... I am always worried about (blank) lately. What can I do help? What should I do to help? I hope (blank) knows I care about (blank)! Blank= a real person but, I probably shouldn't say "it's" name on here...?

4- Work, Grrr... WORK! Why are all my friends leaving me, LAME (talking to you Rach, JK I get it) What should I do? Get a new job? Stay at the one I am at- ask for a raise, get licensed? WHO KNOWS but, it's taking up too much of my time worrying about it!

5- I LOVE HOT PINK- I know this is old news but, the obsession has grown this summer! Constant Hot Pink nails (weird, I usually never do the same color twice in a row), Hot Pink Purse, Hot Pink polka dot Iphone case, Pink Ipad cover... It goes on and on! It's gettin weird...

6- How awesome that chair we scored at Ross last night for $29 is... Great Buy I tell ya!

7-I want to go swimming... Like right now please! Summer is NOT long enough...

8- Cake Bites have completely taken over my life...It's an issue (and yes, an even bigger issue than my Smart Cookie and Beyond Glaze issues) They have won, I give up!

9- Primary! We got a calling...we are now Primary Teachers... 14 six year old! WOWZA, more on that later!

10- Pumped for the Bachelor Pad, Thankful for a husband that secretly loves the same ridiculous shows that I love. :)

11- The Help! I have 30 pages left and I have LOVED the book (it's fun reading on an Ipad)...Can't wait for the movie to come out! I have been plugging my ear and covering my eyes when the movie preview comes on... I don't want to spoil the book, ha!

12- I hope Mr B's allergies get better, he is one itchy/sneezy dog! He is the sweetest though! I LOVE that fluffy crazy doggie so much! I think he needs a doggie sister, don't you?

13- Excited for new babies around me... We have a new niece coming really soon and I have some friends that are preggo and I am super excited about for them!

14- Still loving Pinterest and Hanging with Friends. Over Twitter and Words with Friends

15- Thankful for my Life, It's a good one!

Bonus: of course the Husband... He is always on my mind, I must love him a whole lot! :)

Aahhh, that feels better... :)
What's on your mind?

I love being at Sundance in the summer! I love spending time in the Beautiful Mountains!
We have gone up to Sundace for our date nights the last 2 weekend in a row!
We can't get enough...

The first weekend we had dinner at the Foundry Grill (yum) and went on the Moonlight Rides. Mike had never been on them before, can you believe he lasted 10 years in Provo/BYU without going on them, Crazy... I on the other hand have been on them with plenty of weird dates. HA!
This time was SO much better, duh!!!
We had a blast... talk about a fun date night!

The next weekend, we went to the Blue Bird Cafe Concert Series at the outdoor amphitheatre that they have there. Can I just tell you, IT WAS AMAZING! The Blue Bird Cafe is in Nashville and it is a cafe where a bunch of Song Writers preform the song that they wrote and are now famous. Every year they do a tour that stop at Sundance. The night we went there were 3 songwriter preforming... and they were all SO good and really funny! They put on a great show! All the songs they sang were very popular country songs that I recognized. They sang/wrote songs by... Lady A, Miranda Lambert, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Bonnie Rait, Etc. Mike is an incredible musician and he writes beautiful music so, it was right up his alley! I knew he'd love it but, I didn't expect that I would like it as much as I did...It was SUCH a fun a date night! I think it will become a summer tradition for us! I know I have said it before but, I love how talented my husband is...Being completely tone deaf myself it amazes me how he can play anything if he has heard it once! He doesn't even know how to read music, he doesn't need to... he is just that good! :) Someday when he is ready (he is an extreme perfectionist when it comes to his music) I hope he will try to put his songs out there... I think they would do really well!!! Anyways, The concert series will be back next year and if you have a chance to go, you should... It was very fun and incredibly entertaining!
